Presence of HERMES project in the ICCET 2024 conference in Krakow
WUST and UT presented work related to the HERMES project this week at the ICCET 2024, in Cracow University of Technology.
- Presentation: Innovative burner design for oxy-combustion of hydrogen: impact of various conditions on flame stability
- Poster: OXY-combustion of hydrogen-enriched methane under varying conditions and its impact on stability
Our partner, Prof. Halina Pawlak-Kruczek from WUST, presented the progress made within the project activities on the testing of a specialized multi-hole injection burner for oxy-fuel combustion that would allow for the realization of supercritical-CO2 cycles. Oxy-combustion offers a promising approach for capturing carbon dioxide (CO2) and controlling nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions. The work presented directly contributes to the scientific community by offering experimental and numerical data on hydrogen oxy-combustion under high pressure and high CO2 concentrations, and evidence over flame stability.
